Fall wired ribbon colors range from ivories, creams and light grey to deep maroons, mossy greens and chocolate browns. There’s gold, rust, copper and orange shades. Fun, lively florals plus silk dupioni looks in plaids and tartans to match whichever color scheme you choose.
In lighter shades….
Let’s start with a lighter colored stunner for fall! Soft grey, burnt orange and white faux dupioni check, Grande. Keep things light by mixing it with copper velvet or a pale grey linen style.
Bittersweet, has a twill-style fabric with mustard gold foliage, dark brown branches and orangey brown berries. The ivory background keeps this fall ribbon light, making a counterpoint to darker fall plaids and solids.
Medium tones
The leaf patterned Mendon blends with several colors. Try versatile Silkie, in a warm chocolate brown or an olive moss green.
And Silkie leads us to plaids! The Nickie line of faux dupioni plaids provides a few choices, including October and Morning.
Deeper Fall and Autumn Plaids
Vonda allows versatility: rich, rich hues of brown, tan and a hard-to-classify red will be influenced by the ribbons and other elements you mix it with. Terra Sundown makes a bold statement by itself or with support from a narrower brown.
And fall ribbon florals!
Twill adds texture without too much heaviness in your designs. It makes a terrific contrast to smoother ribbons and pairs well with velvets and burlaps. Stratford comes in a vibrant navy with a pop-art touch of lighter blue and a mellow tan.
Divinely Royal Fern coordinates with either Stratford.
